ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said in his special message on the occasion of the International Day of Peace that peace is not just the absence of conflicts but also justice, equality and mutual respect among nations.

He fully supported the UN theme for this year and urged the international community to immediately stop the unbridled aggression and atrocities of Israel and India.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the military actions of India and Israel are a serious threat not only to the peace of the region but also to the peace of the world. According to him, “The atrocities of the Israeli forces in Gaza and the brutality of the Indian army in occupied Kashmir are a permanent wound on the conscience of humanity, which the world can never forget.”

He said that the PPP has always raised its voice for peace, democracy and human rights in accordance with the vision of the Leader of the People Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. “Peace is the foundation of prosperity, without which democracy weakens, justice stagnates and the human spirit is wounded.”

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also paid tribute to the founders of Pakistan and the martyred leadership of the party on this occasion, saying, “Our elders dreamed of a homeland based on dignity, justice and peace and made eternal sacrifices for it.”

He added that extremism, poverty and inequality are major threats to peace, while true peace cannot be established through silence or coercion alone. “For this, social justice, empowerment of the marginalized classes and protection of basic human rights are indispensable.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated his resolve that the PPP will continue its struggle for a peaceful, democratic and progressive Pakistan, which is in line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and plays an effective role in promoting peace, stability and cooperation in the world.
