Battlegrounds Mobile India or BGMI has temporarily taken down its Virus Infection mode within the game. There seems to be an issue with the game mode, which BGMI developer Krafton is now working to fix. The company says that it will share an update with BGMI players once the problem is fixed.
The development has been shared in a recent notice by Krafton. In the notice, the renowned game developer stated that the Virus Infection mode was taken down on December 9 at 3:17 pm. Though it does not mention the issue, it assures that the BGMI players will be informed once the problem is fixed and the game mode is back live.
For those unaware, the Virus Infection mode in BGMI lets you play against hordes of zombies that try to infect you. In a series of three rounds, the players are made to face the zombies, with the ultimate goal of surviving the zombie attacks. All the while, players also have to be careful not to get infected by the zombies.
The game mode is made even more interesting with the inclusion of power-ups and boosters. These are also achieved by metrics of the number of infected or number of kills. The zombie with the maximum count of infected humans eventually becomes “Zombie King,” while the three humans surviving, in the end, turn into “Heroes.”
