ISLAMABAD: Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News SK Niazi, while talking in his renowned talk show Sachi Baat, said Pakistan’s external situation is going very well and the country is progressing under the leadership of the Field Marshal, but there is an urgent need to improve the internal situation, the formation of new provinces would solve public problems and break party monopolies, water wastage must be stopped by constructing small dams, corruption and poverty remain rampant while businesses are coming to a standstill, people are yearning for two-time bread and langar alone will not solve economic problems, the government must take immediate steps to control inflation and provide real relief, Mecca Agreement should be activated from today as an attack on Mecca is an attack on us, interest should be abolished in the country following court rulings and in line with Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman’s stance, tax procedures must be simplified and made transparent in direct consultation with chambers of commerce, industrialists, and the business community without placing harmful taxes on purchases or neglecting the manufacturing sector.

MNA Tehreek-e-Insaf Yusuf Khan said protesting is a fundamental right that no one can take away despite ongoing arrests of workers, policy inconsistency in sectors like CNG and solar has damaged the economy, governance remains a central issue, electricity prices must be brought down to naturally improve tax collection and provide relief to citizens, legal decisions must be strictly implemented by independent judges to uphold the rule of law and protect democratic institutions, FBR’s current system harasses business owners with notices and fails to expand the tax base of a 250 million population, the salaried class is already overtaxed and new sectors must be brought into the tax net, voice will be raised effectively inside and outside Parliament for the rights of the oppressed and legitimate public demands.

President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Usman Shaukat said while the external outlook seems stable the internal economic situation is deeply worrying due to high inflation, short-term measures like lockdowns or frequent policy shifts in solar and CNG ruin business confidence, fundamental reforms and consistent long-term economic policies are essential, closing businesses is no solution and energy costs for industries must be reduced, lower electricity prices will encourage voluntary tax compliance, import policies must protect local industry and exports rather than spending resources on luxury car imports while ignoring basic transport needs of the poor, small businesses need relief from excessive tax burdens and clear procedures for full and final tax including a review of the Rs 25,000 tax threshold.

Leader PML-N Senator Hafiz Abdul Karim said attacks on holy places in Mecca and Medina wound the hearts of the Ummah and require concrete implementation of defense agreements with Saudi Arabia by the Prime Minister and Army Chief, Pakistan’s ideological foundation is strong and adopting an Islamic economic system by eliminating usury by 2028 is a historic step, controlling inflation is the primary responsibility of the government which has so far failed to provide complete relief due to global factors and petrol price surges linked to international conflicts, frequent daily petroleum price hikes must be reviewed, economic activities must be protected during political protests, new provinces should be created to improve governance, and government policies must prioritize permanent employment, transport subsidies, and economic facilities for the common man rather than luxury imports.
