Pakistan’s famous singer Atif Aslam has broken his silence on the rumors about his performance in Saudi Arabia.
Atif Aslam, who rose to fame with hit songs like ‘Aadat’, has in a statement strongly denied rumors that he has refused to perform near holy places in Saudi Arabia. Atif Aslam said in his statement, “It is strange that things are being attributed to me which I have never said.” He urged the media and the artist community to report any statement only after verifying its veracity.
“We have performed in Riyadh in the past, which is the best proof of our position,” he explained. His statement came after a fake statement on social media claimed that Atif’s heart does not accept performing near holy places. It should be noted that Saudi Arabia has become a concert center for international artists since 2017 and so far many international stars, such as the popular K-pop group BTS, have performed here. Atif Aslam is known not only for Pakistan but also for Bollywood hit songs like ‘Dil Diyaan Gulan’ and ‘Tu Jaane Na’.
