Technology giant Apple is preparing to introduce a new technology change that could change the way we use earphones.

The company is working on a secret project that would include tiny cameras and artificial intelligence (AI) in the new AirPods, so that the device can become a kind of ‘third eye’ for the user.

Apple is reportedly in the final stages of developing its new AirPods, which will feature built-in cameras. The AirPods will also be equipped with advanced AI features and are likely to be Apple’s first device designed specifically for the era of artificial intelligence.

Sources say that the AirPods are currently undergoing final testing, with their design and features almost finalized.

Apple was initially planning to launch the earbuds in the first six months of this year, but the launch was delayed due to the lack of development of the generative AI-powered Siri.

The new AirPods will be very similar in design to the current ‘Pro’ model. However, their stems may be made relatively long to accommodate the cameras.
