Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif says that for the first time, the common man has felt the real feeling of being like a mother state through the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project.

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the achievement of the target of one lakh houses under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project and congratulated all those who built houses. He congratulated the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project team for achieving the one-year target in 10 months.

The target of interest-free and easy loans to one lakh low-income families was achieved. Loans worth Rs. 120 billion were issued to one lakh 83 families, under which 22,305 houses were built and 64,190 houses entered the final stages of completion.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project has created a new history in the housing sector. No amount of gratitude can be expressed to Allah Almighty for fulfilling the dream of a poor person getting a roof. Nawaz Sharif dreamed of a house for the poor man, may Allah Almighty grant us the success of our efforts.

The Chief Minister of Punjab said that the transparent issuance of one lakh loans for the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project in 10 months is a worthy example, the determination to achieve the target of 5 lakh houses in 5 years is unwavering.
