Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that after providing “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” and free plots to the homeless, the Punjab government has now launched the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” scheme for the unemployed, which has been formally launched.
According to Uzma Bukhari, this flagship program of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will bring an agricultural revolution in Punjab and thousands of people will benefit from it. She said that under the scheme, the Punjab government will also provide a grant of Rs 50,000 to Rs 250,000 along with land.
He said that land worth Rs 160 billion is being given to landless villagers in Punjab, which will be used only for farming.
Uzma Bukhari said that Maryam Nawaz does not make claims but does practical work. Farmers have been provided with facilities like Kisan Card, Green Tractor, Super Seeder and Tube Well Solarization, which led to record wheat production in Punjab.
The Information Minister further said that Maryam Nawaz is a farmer-friendly and agriculture-friendly Chief Minister and the agriculture sector is her top priority.
