Former Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Shabbar Zaidi has claimed that Karachi’s Defense Phase 8 is better than Paris and Dubai.

Speaking to Karachi Bureau Chief Faisal Hussain on the Powercast program, Shabbar Zaidi said that PPP leader Sharmila Farooqui has made the comparison between Karachi and Paris correct.

He said that there are markets in Karachi’s Defense Phase 8 that are better than Paris and Dubai, the restaurants, shops, people, high-quality vehicles there are all better than Dubai.

Shabbar Zaidi said that I myself am a resident of Defense Phase 6 and when I go to Phase 8, I am amazed. I would also advise you to go there and see what happens until 3 am. Seeing Phase 8, no one can believe that it is part of Karachi.

The former FBR chairman said that if you find this strange, then you should look at 40-year-old Dubai.

He also claimed that a modern city called Zulfiqarabad is being built next to Port Qasim, after which people will forget Dubai.

On this, host Faisal Hussain said that Zardari Sahib had announced this project in 2008, to which Shabbar Zaidi said that at that time, it was your own people who ruined this project and today those people are sitting in Dubai.

He said that if such a story ends, then Zulfiqarabad city will be developed.

It should be noted that a few days ago, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sharmila Farooqui, while answering a question in a private TV program, had called Karachi Paris, after which she faced severe criticism.

After this, Sharmila Farooqui said in her explanatory statement that Karachi is my home, my paradise, and better than Paris for me. The beaches here cannot be compared to any beach in the world.
