Agricultural land in Bani Gala belonging to declared suspects including Imran Khan has been auctioned

Major progress has been made in the property auction case in the Qadir Trust NAB reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and others, as one of the three properties of the declared accused in Bani Gala was auctioned.

According to the report, Farhat Shahzad (alias Farah Gogi) is also among the declared accused in the Qadir Trust case. In January 2024, the court had declared 6 accused including Farah Gogi, Zulfi Bukhari and Shahzad Akbar as declared.

Today, 405 kanals of agricultural land were auctioned in Mohra Noor Bani Gala at Rs 3.42 million per kanal.

No one participated in the bidding for the sixteen kanal motel plot and two hundred and forty-eight kanals of agricultural land on Club Road. The auction was held in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Uzair Ali Khan and other committee members.

The auction time was scheduled for 11 am, but the auction committee arrived at 5:49 pm, while earlier the Assistant Commissioner Secretariat had issued an auction advertisement, while Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, reacting to the matter, said that news of the alleged auction of Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala had come to light.

The auction advertisement issued by the Assistant Commissioner Secretariat stated that the property of Imran Khan’s village Mohra Noor will be offered in the auction, an area of 248 kanals 8 marlas and an area of 405 kanals 3 marlas will be auctioned in the auction.

According to the advertisement, the persons participating in the auction should submit a pay order of Rs 5 million in the name of the Chairman NAB, the said person can visit the property before participating in the auction.

The advertisement said that the concerned Patwari will provide all the details to the participants in the auction, the auction will be held under the terms and conditions approved by the Evaluation Committee.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, while reacting to the matter, had said that the news of the alleged auction of the Bani Gala residence of the founder of PTI has only come to light today, if so, it is the result of some secret operation.

In a statement released on the social networking website X, Salman Akram Raja further said that the administrators of Bani Gala are unaware, our legal team is actively working to get to the bottom of the matter, the correct information will come out soon.

Later, in another post, the Secretary General PTI said that according to the information obtained by the legal team, other accused have been declared absconders and declared fugitives in NAB Reference No. 19/2023 titled Sarkar vs. Imran Khan, commonly known as the Al-Qadir Trust case, the notice published today is about the auction of the property of these accused. The team is keeping a watchful eye.
