KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee fell against the US dollar on Monday, the fourth working day of the week.
Details show that the value of the local currency decreased by 82 paisas when compared to the US dollar, which was trading at roughly 221.5.
The rupee had a Wednesday closing value of Rs 220.68, according to data from Pakistan’s central bank.
Nevertheless, the rupee has collectively appreciated by Rs 18.44 from its record low of Rs 239.94 against the dollar, despite the recent loss.
