Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has been charged with breaching the ICC Code of Conduct.

According to details, Adam Zampa breached Level One of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first ODI against South Africa.

Adam Zampa was found guilty of breaching Article 2.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to the use of obscene language during a match.

In the 37th over of the match, Adam Zampa used obscene language during a misfielding and overthrow, which was heard on air through the stump mic.

Adam Zampa was not only reprimanded for being found guilty, but also had one demerit point added to his record.

The minimum penalty for a Level One offence is an official reprimand, with a maximum fine of 50% of the player’s match fee and one or two demerit points.
