Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the first time in his 25-year career in the film industry. He was given the award at the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 for his brilliant performance in the film ‘I Want to Talk’.
While receiving the award, Abhishek Bachchan’s emotions overcame him and his eyes became moist. During his speech, he said, “This year marks the completion of 25 years of my film journey. It has always been my dream to receive this award in front of my family.”
The actor credited his success to his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aardhya, saying, “Aishwarya and Aardhya, thank you both for allowing me to fulfill my dreams. I know that your sacrifices are the reason why I am standing here today.”
Dedicating the award to his father Amitabh Bachchan and daughter Aardhya, he said, “I dedicate this award to two special people, my hero, my father, and my other hero, my daughter Aardhya.”
Abhishek Bachchan thanked all the directors and producers who believed in him and gave him opportunities. He said, “This journey has not been easy, but it has certainly been a proud one.”
The actor was recently seen in ‘Housefull 5’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonam Bajwa and Jacqueline Fernandez. His next film is ‘King’ in which he will share the screen with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan. This award marks a major milestone in his long and successful career.
