Rawalpindi: Pakistan captain Babar Azam has hinted at playing the same winning combination in the second Test here at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The home side defeated South Africa by seven wickets and the spin duo of Nauman Ali and Yasir Shan played a huge part in it by taking seven wickets each. Babar thinks that the 22-yard-playing area of Pindi Stadium is quite similar to the National Stadium.
“The weather conditions in Rawalpindi changes a lot and it helps pacers too,” Babar said in a virtual presser.
“Four seamers can’t play but there is a possibility as in the coming days, the forecast can change. The final decision will be made tomorrow before the toss,” he added.
Babar wants his troops to stay cautious as the visitors will come harder in the second Test as they 1-0 down in the two-match series.
“We have prepared well in the last three days and the win in the first Test has given a lot of confidence but we can’t take them easy as they will be aiming to bounce back and for that, we are ready,” he added.
