South Africa and India have dominated the latest player rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
South Africa’s Marco Jensen has created history by becoming the number one bowler and all-rounder in Test cricket, while India’s Abhishek Sharma has become the best batsman in T20 Internationals.
Marco Jensen performed brilliantly in the second Test against Australia.
He scored 85 runs while batting and took five crucial wickets in South Africa’s victory.
After this performance, he moved up five places to number one in the Test bowlers’ list, leaving Mitchell Starc behind.
In the all-rounders’ rankings, he also ended India’s Ravindra Jadeja’s more than four-year reign.
On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma completed a century in just 35 balls against New Zealand and scored 113 runs in 38 balls to lead India to victory.
As a result of this performance, he regained the top position among T20 batsmen, surpassing Ishan Kishan.
South African captain Temba Bavuma has also moved up four places to second in the Test batsmen rankings.
Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi has also moved up two places to sixth in the ODI rankings.
