Lieutenant General (Retd) Nigar Johar, a member of the Advisory Council for Health in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has stated that the ‘Sehat Insaf Card’ (Health Justice Card) is providing significant benefits to the public by facilitating access to medical treatment. Therefore, it is essential to ensure the continuity of this vital public welfare initiative and to enhance its overall effectiveness.

Lieutenant General (Retd) Nigar Johar presided over a meeting regarding the Sehat Insaf Card program, during which the administrative and financial aspects of the initiative were reviewed.

She remarked that the Sehat Insaf Card serves as a crucial mechanism for providing the public with access to healthcare services. While the provision of these services to the beneficiaries must continue, it is equally imperative to ensure financial transparency and accountability at all times.

Lieutenant General (Retd) Nigar Johar directed that a comprehensive audit of the Sehat Insaf Card program be conducted to thoroughly examine financial matters and verify that public funds are being utilized in accordance with established rules and regulations.

She emphasized that effective oversight and transparent accountability are essential to prevent any form of financial irregularity.

She further stated that public resources are a trust, and their utilization must be guided by the principles of responsibility, transparency, and accountability. To maintain the efficacy of a public welfare project like the Sehat Insaf Card, it is necessary to strengthen its financial system and prioritize the public interest above all else.
