Hypocrisy of Indians, Mika Singh questions attitude towards Pakistani Muslims

Indian singer Mika Singh has spoken openly about Pakistan-India relations and the Pakistani people, recalling his 2019 visit to Pakistan. He says he still cannot understand why some people in India view Pakistani Muslims negatively, but consider Muslims in Dubai to be good.

Speaking on a podcast, 50-year-old Mika Singh said that during his visit to Pakistan, he received a lot of love and hospitality from the people there. The singer said that when he went to Pakistan, many of his Muslim brothers were serving in gurdwaras and were also participating in cleaning work. According to Mika, he realized that it is not right to view Pakistan and its people negatively only on the basis of religion or country.

Mika Singh said that he does not understand why some people in India find Pakistani Muslims bad, while Dubai Muslims seem very good to them. He admitted that he could never understand this contradiction. Politics of Pakistan

When asked about working with Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistani artists in the podcast, Mika Singh said that he has no objection to Pakistani singers performing in Indian showbiz. He also defended Indian artists performing in Pakistan and said that there should be no unnecessary criticism on this issue.

He said that when Pakistani artists come to India, they are respected and Bollywood also welcomes Pakistani singers. Similarly, if the Pakistani people respect Indian artists, they should be happy about it.

Referring to Nankana Sahib and Panja Sahib, Mika Singh said that the presence of these holy places gives Pakistan a deep religious and emotional meaning for them. He said that when he was invited to perform in Pakistan, his priority was not compensation but access to the gurdwara.

The singer clarified that he had openly visited Pakistan with a regular visa before the Uri attack, so his visit and performance should not be considered a political act.

It may be recalled that Mika Singh faced a ban in the Indian film industry after performing at a wedding function in Karachi in August 2019. After the video came to light, the All India Sign Works Association and the Federation of Western India Sign Employees boycotted him. Later, on August 21, 2019, Mika Singh apologized in a press conference, after which the ban on him was lifted.
