Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has stated that there is a possibility of imposing Governor's Rule in the province—a measure for which the Constitution makes provision—and that consultations regarding this step have already taken place.
Speaking to the media in Peshawar, he remarked that the PTI has made no preparations for a "long march," noting that PTI members are voluntarily turning themselves in for arrest.
He added that PTI members are now looking for ways to escape; meanwhile, our police force is making the ultimate sacrifice, yet they are not being provided with adequate facilities. They receive the lowest salaries, and the provincial government intends to turn the police force into a "Tiger Force."
Faisal Karim Kundi stated that the KP Chief Minister seeks a 25 percent quota in the recruitment of DSPs; he vowed to stand firm against such an improper move and protect the police force, reiterating that the imposition of Governor's Rule remains a possibility under the Constitution.
