Preparations are underway in Islamabad to deal with the Tehreek-e-Insaf protest; the capital has been lined with shipping containers, and the mountain route connecting Islamabad to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been closed.

Sources indicate that plans are in place to deploy police personnel along the trails descending from the Margalla Hills, while containers have also been transported to roads linking Margalla Road, Srinagar Highway, and the Expressway.

Additionally, a large number of containers have been moved to 26 Number Chungi, Faizabad, and T-Chowk Rawat.

Meanwhile, at the N-5 Attock Khurd Bridge, large plates featuring welded spikes are being installed on the road alongside the containers; the installation of these spiked plates will make it impossible for vehicles to pass through these locations.
