Islamabad: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert in anticipation of expected rainfall and potential weather-related hazards in upper regions from September 25 to 30.
According to the NEOC, the intensity of the westerly weather system is likely to increase on September 25 and 26, bringing rain accompanied by thunderstorms to upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad.
A spokesperson stated that the anticipated rainfall raises the risk of flash floods in mountainous areas and seasonal streams, as well as potential flooding conditions in certain localities
