Security has been placed on high alert in Islamabad in anticipation of a potential protest; unannounced closures have been declared for female educational institutions, and 48 schools in Rawalpindi have been handed over to police contingents arriving from other districts.

Sources revealed that, in view of the possible protest, over 20 federal educational institutions have been placed under the control of the district administration and federal police to accommodate security personnel and police forces summoned from Punjab and other provinces.

According to sources, unannounced holidays have been declared for female educational institutions, and the police are expected to arrive tonight; meanwhile, instructions have been issued to keep additional educational institutions on standby.
