The second day of play in the second Test match in Sylhet ended with Bangladesh leading by 156 runs against Pakistan.
At the end of the second day, Bangladesh scored 110 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their second innings.
Mahmood Hasan Joy scored 52, Mominul Haq scored 30 and Tanzeed Hasan scored 4 runs, Najmul Hasan Shanto was not out on 13 runs. Khurram Shahzad took 2 and Mohammad Abbas took one wicket.
Earlier, the Pakistan team was all out for 232 runs against Bangladesh in its first innings.
Pakistan started the second day’s play with 21 runs for no loss but both openers lost their wickets soon, Azan Owais scored 13 and Abdullah Fazal scored 9 runs.
Captain Shan Masood returned to the pavilion after scoring 21 runs, Babar Azam was dismissed for 68 runs, Saud Shakeel 8, Salman Agha 21 and Mohammad Rizwan could score 13 runs.
Hasan Ali was dismissed for 18, Sajid Khan 38 and Khurram Shahzad 10 runs while Mohammad Abbas could not score any runs.
For Bangladesh, Naheed Rana and Tejul Islam took 3, 3 and Taskin Ahmed and Mehdi Hassan Miraz took 2 wickets each.
First day
On the first day of the match, the Bangladesh team was all out for 278 runs in its first innings, Liton Das played a brilliant innings of 126 runs.
For Pakistan, Khurram Shahzad took 4 wickets, Mohammad Abbas 3, Hassan Ali 2 and Sajid Khan took one wicket.
Azan Owais and Abdullah Fazal opened the innings for Pakistan, Pakistan scored 21 runs without any loss by the end of the first day’s play.
Earlier, national team captain Shan Masood won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first.
3 changes have been made in the Pakistani team for the second Test, Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad and Sajid Khan have been included in the team instead of Imam-ul-Haq, Shaheen Afridi and Noman Ali.
It should be noted that Bangladesh has a 1-0 lead in the 2-Test series, Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 104 runs in the first Test match
