A new report has revealed that technology company Meta will spy on its staff to train its artificial intelligence systems.

An internal memo revealed that the tracking software would track employees’ mouse movements, clicks and keystrokes and use them to train new AI systems. The system would also be able to view employees’ screens.

According to one of the memos released, the software, called the Model Capability Initiative (MCI), will run on work-related apps and take screenshots of content running on employees’ screens when needed.

According to the memo, the software aims to improve the company’s AI models.
