PERTH, AUSTRALIA: Australia defeated England by 8 wickets in the first Ashes Test thanks to Travis Head’s aggressive century.
In the ongoing Test match in Perth, the Australian team was given a target of 205 runs to win, which it easily achieved with the loss of 2 wickets.
Travis Head played a brilliant innings of 123 runs off 83 balls, while Jack Weatherall was out for 23 runs.
Marnus Labuschagne was not out on 51 and captain Steve Smith was 2 runs.
Brydon Carse took both wickets for England.
Earlier, the English team was bundled out for 164 runs in its second innings despite a good start.

The second day, the Australian team started the game at 123 runs for 9 out, and after adding only 9 runs to the total score, Nathan Lyon fell to Brydon Carse for 4 runs.
