Karachi: A two-member delegation of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) has arrived in Pakistan and has started special training for National Aviation Security Inspectors of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
According to Civil Aviation Authority officials, the delegation of the European Civil Aviation Conference met with Deputy Director General Luqman and the experts have started special training for National Aviation Security Inspectors of CAA (Pakistan), which aims to harmonize Pakistan’s regulatory testing framework with European Union standards.
CAA officials said that since its establishment as the sole safety regulatory authority in Pakistan, the Civil Aviation Authority has been engaged with leading international organizations, including the UK Department for Transport, ACA, in the context of taking forward capacity building initiatives in various domains.
He said that these organizations have provided full support by organizing special training programs, which have played a significant role in strengthening Pakistan’s position in global aviation safety and security.
CAA officials further said that after the completion of the training program for Pakistan Civil Aviation officers, the European Civil Aviation delegation will leave for Pakistan by the end of this week.
