The Lahore High Court heard the bail application of Salman Haider, accused of forcibly raping a woman along with Rajab Butt and others. Justice Jawad Zafar heard the case and summoned the concerned SP with a report on September 19.

The investigating officer told the court that the accused Salman Haider was found guilty in the investigation. However, the plaintiff’s lawyer took the stand that there were serious flaws in the investigation of the case and co-accused Rajab Butt and Man Dogar were given a clean chit contrary to the facts. He said that it was not made clear on what basis the co-accused were released.

The plaintiff’s lawyer further told the court that all data was deleted from the mobile phones of the plaintiff and her sister, while the accused Salman Haider repeatedly raped the plaintiff by threatening her. He requested the court to dismiss the accused’s bail application.

On the other hand, the petitioner took the stand that the Nawab Town police station had registered a case contrary to the facts and requested the court to confirm the interim bail.
