President's historic visit to Chinese aircraft complex that manufactures J10C aircraft

President Asif Ali Zardari, in his capacity as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, paid a historic visit to the Aircraft Complex of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, where the J-10C aircraft, which played a key role in the war, are manufactured.

President Asif Ali Zardari traveled from Chengdu to Mianyang in a high-speed train equipped with an earthquake warning system in China. The President was briefed on the train’s operation, service and safety systems.

President Zardari described the pollution-free electric train and the earthquake warning system as a masterpiece of engineering.

On this occasion, the President said that China’s innovation is a lesson for other countries including Pakistan.

Pakistani Ambassador Khalil Hashmi, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and Senator Saleem Mandviwala also accompanied the President. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong is accompanying the President throughout the visit. Upon reaching Mianyang, Deputy Mayor Wu Hao welcomed the President.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid a historic visit to the Aircraft Complex of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, the visit came on the 128th day of the ceasefire with India.

The President, as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the complex. The President toured the entire complex where the J-10C aircraft is manufactured. The J-10C played a key role in the War of Truth.

President Asif Ali Zardari met with engineers and scientists. On this occasion, the President was briefed on the J-10, JF-17 and J-20 stealth fighters. The President was also informed about drones, automated units and multi-domain operations.

The President said that the J-10 and JF-17 strengthened the Pakistan Air Force. The performance of these aircraft was outstanding in the War of Truth and Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos in May 2025.

The President described the AVIC complex as a symbol of Chinese technology and the Pak-China strategic partnership.

President Zardari is the first foreign leader to visit the complex. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, First Lady Asifa Bhutto and Senator Saleem Mandviwala also accompanied the President.

Pakistani Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong also accompanied the President.

Later, the President of Pakistan arrived in Shanghai for the next leg of his visit to China, where the President was warmly welcomed at the airport. The President was welcomed by Mr. Chan Qun, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Committee.

On this occasion, DG Foreign Affairs Office Shanghai Ms. Ma Yinghui was also present to welcome him, while the Consul General of Pakistan and embassy officials were also present.

President Asif Ali Zardari is the first foreign leader to visit the complex.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, First Lady Asifa Bhutto, Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Pakistani Ambassador Khalil Hashmi and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong were also present. Pakistan reiterated its commitment to increasing cooperation with China in defense production and aviation.
