Water and Climate Expert Hamid Sarfraz said we have to take steps to deal with floods, we should not do politics over floods, the floods have come more than before, causing destruction, people are living on the banks of Ravi and Sutlej, the government should not allow construction of buildings on the banks of rivers, India has canceled the Indus Waters Treaty, we are behind in many things, we have to generate our own resources instead of external aid, the river makes its own way, some hotels in Pakistan are built on the banks of rivers, when the river water comes, there is destruction, Illegal housing societies must be stopped, the government should dismantle the societies built on the banks of rivers after this flood, the flood that occurred in 2022 was different, 4.2 million people have been affected by floods in Punjab, steps must be taken to deal with floods, we have to leave politics and help flood victims, the floods have caused a lot of damage to people, we must generate our own resources instead of external aid, our farmer is very strong, government should fulfill every need of farmers, emergency measures must be taken to deal with floods, build small, small dams in the country, build small dams in Sindh first, we have to build lakes that can prevent floods.
