The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine has welcomed the advanced position announced by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, urging maximum efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire. The ministry highlighted Spain’s call to protect and provide relief to civilians, enhance support through UNRWA, halt acts of genocide, displacement, and annexation, and strengthen European and international initiatives aimed at achieving lasting peace.

The Ministry also emphasized the importance of implementing and safeguarding the two-state solution, shielding it from the risks posed by annexation and settlement expansion.

While commending the positions of the Kingdom of Spain—its king, government, and people—the Ministry urged other nations, particularly European countries, to follow Spain’s example in striving to stop the war, advance peace, and uphold the two-state solution.
