ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Masoud Pezishkian contacted Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and expressed his heartfelt sorrow over the losses caused by the floods and offered all possible help to the victims.

In a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezishkian expressed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan over the floods in different parts of Pakistan.

The Iranian President expressed sympathy and solidarity with the families affected by the loss of life and property in the recent floods and offered to provide all possible help to the brotherly people of Pakistan in this difficult time.

The Prime Minister thanked President Pezishkian for his expression of sympathy and solidarity and Iran for its solidarity in this hour of sorrow and suffering.

He conveyed to the Iranian President a message of deep respect and good wishes for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The two leaders also expressed positive views regarding the expected meeting and discussions on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin, China.
