ISLAMABAD: Pakistan, Egypt and Algeria have taken a joint stance on the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and said that it is imperative to provide aid to the people of Gaza as soon as possible. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held an important meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the 21st Extraordinary OIC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, in which the latest situation in Palestine, especially Gaza, was discussed. The meeting discussed the current worrying situation in Palestine in detail. The three leaders stressed the need for immediate provision of humanitarian aid, ceasefire and lasting peace in Gaza. The importance of unity of the Muslim Ummah was also highlighted on this occasion. Ishaq Dar reiterated his commitment to further strengthen relations with the brotherly countries of North Africa, Egypt and Algeria, and stressed the promotion of mutual ties and multilateral cooperation.
