ISLAMABAD: In a vibrant display of friendship between Pakistan and Russia, the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad was illuminated in the colors of the Russian tricolor on Thursday, marking Russia’s National Flag Day.
The illumination symbolized solidarity with the people of Russia as they celebrated the day honoring their national flag — the white, blue, and red banner that represents the country’s sovereignty, independence, and unity.
The Russian tricolor, introduced by Peter the Great in 1705, has remained a powerful emblem of the nation’s heritage and continuity for over three centuries.
The lighting of the Pakistan Monument not only highlighted the deepening ties between Islamabad and Moscow but also served as a gesture of goodwill, strengthening the cultural and diplomatic bonds between the two countries.
