Karachi: The Sindh government has decided to launch a swift and ruthless operation against the Kacha dacoits in the province.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to ensure law and order in the Kacha areas, in which Corps Commander Corps V Lieutenant General Muhammad Dastgir, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar, DG Rangers Major General Muhammad Shamrez, Secretary Home Iqbal Memon, IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, Additional IGs, CTD, Special Branch and representatives of other institutions participated.
The Sindh Chief Minister was briefed by various institutions regarding the operation in Kacha. The Sindh Chief Minister has formed a high-level monitoring committee headed by the Interior Minister for a decisive operation in Kacha, which will include the Home Secretary, DG Rangers, IG Police and officers from other institutions. The Sindh Chief Minister has also formed another high-level committee to implement the operation.
The Sindh government has also decided to take the Punjab government into confidence on the operation in Kachha. It was decided in the meeting that the government will carry out development work in Kachha, a road network will be built, and education and health facilities will be provided.
The Sindh Chief Minister said that law and order must be maintained in the Kachha area at all costs, no kidnapping for ransom will be tolerated, the purpose of calling today’s meeting is to eliminate the dacoits at all costs, the police and Rangers have been conducting operations together in Kachha since 2024, I want the operation in the Kachha area to be swift and ruthless.
Murad Ali Shah said that concessions will be made to the dacoits who lay down their arms, the Sindh government has equipped the police with modern weapons, with the help of technology, the operation is yielding significant results and will achieve more.
The Chief Minister said that the peaceful people living in the slums also want peace and order, the safety of the lives and property of the people will be ensured at all costs, the decisive operation is being intensified in the slum areas of Larkana and Sukkur,
The spokesperson of the Chief Minister of Sindh said that during the operation in the slum areas, the internet facility will be shut down for a short period of time, it has also been decided to close all the social media accounts of the dacoits, the mobile towers to be closed in the slum areas have been identified.
