Four passengers sustained minor injuries after the Lahore–Multan Musa Pak Express derailed at Raiwind Railway Station on Monday.
According to railway sources, the accident occurred when the train’s engine and two bogies went off the track, reportedly due to brake failure.
Operations on the affected track were immediately suspended as rescue teams began removing the derailed engine with the help of a crane.
The injured were shifted to THQ Hospital, while the remaining bogies were sent onward to Multan with the help of a replacement engine.
Railway officials said restoration work on the station’s service track is ongoing.
