PESHAWAR : The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has issued a written order suspending the arrest warrants issued against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.The verdict, authored by Justice Ijaz Anwar, directed that the chief minister should not be arrested and disposed of the case accordingly.
According to sources, the court instructed Ali Amin Gandapur to appear before Islamabad’s Senior Civil Judge Court No. 2. The hearing in the Islamabad court is scheduled for today (Tuesday).Previously, the Islamabad court had issued arrest warrants due to his repeated absence, directing local police to ensure his arrest.The matter was later taken to the PHC, which has now granted him relief with the condition of appearing before the trial court.
