Tehran: An armed attack was reported on Saturday on a courthouse in Iran’s southeastern province of Baluchistan, Iranian media reported.Fars News Agency said emergency services and security forces have been deployed to the scene following the incident while no further details have been issued so far.
However, a rights group claimed that unknown gunmen stormed the courthouse building on Azadi Street and targeted the offices of the judges. Several persons were reportedly killed and injured in the attack.It said multiple rooms were hit by gunfire, adding that the area has been cordoned off and public access has also been restricted.
