Karachi: National Test team captain Shan Masood says that this is our last Test series in the ongoing ICC World Test Championship and we would like to end it on a win.
Captain Shan Masood said that every match is very important in this format and we are determined to use all our capabilities to end the campaign by winning the series.
He said that West Indies is a good team with many talented players. They bring a unique style to the game and we know that they will give us a tough competition.
Shan Masood said that Test cricket is actually about adapting to challenges and facing them and as a team we are ready to respond to whatever comes our way.
The national team captain said that winning the home series against England has given us a lot of confidence and momentum, our full focus is on delivering strong performances and carrying forward the winning attitude.

West Indies captain
West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite says that we are very excited to come to Pakistan, I have never been to Pakistan before and probably most of the players are also visiting for the first time and we are really looking forward to performing well in the series.
He said that the Pakistan team is a strong team in its field so we are looking forward to performing well in these conditions. Our team’s performance here will be very important and obviously it is important to get runs on the board but taking 20 wickets will be very important to win the Test match.
The West Indies captain said that our preparations are going well, we spent a few days in Islamabad where we played a practice match which was quite good for us as a group and we had sessions here in Multan which were also helpful.

It should be noted that the first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and West Indies will begin tomorrow at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The second Test of the series will also be played in Multan from January 25.
The West Indies team is touring Pakistan for the first time since December 2006 to play a Test series. They are currently at the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship table.
The last series played between the two countries in Pakistan was captained by PCB Hall of Famer Inzamam-ul-Haq and Pakistan won the series 0-2.
Pakistan and West Indies last faced each other in the red-ball format in 2021 and the series was tied 1-1.
