A spokesperson for US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said on Saturday that he tested positive for Covid-19 a week before accommodating President Joe Biden to a meeting of the Group of Seven advanced economies.
Sullivan, according to National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson, had not been in intimate interaction with Biden and was symptomless. She stated that it was his first Covid infectious disease.
