LAHORE: A student from Lahore College for Women, age 20, went missing on Friday.
Several sources claim that Laiba Khan, 20, of Al-Hafiz Town Marghazar Colony, was sent off by her brother at the university’s gate on Jail Road in the early morning. According to the initial information report that was given to the police, this is the case. At 11:30 a.m., when her brother was on his way to pick her up, he called her mobile phone, but it was off.
However, the police received a FIR after waiting until the evening. According to police, they are hunting for the student and “she will be found shortly.”A student was reported missing in May of this year, and her ex-fiance was later found to have taken her in Lahore’s Shadbagh neighbourhood. Later, she was discovered in the Arifwala tehsil of Pakpattan.
Following the viral footage of the kidnapping incident, LHC Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti was made aware of the situation. He has given until 10 p.m. to Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana and IG Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan to ensure the girl’s safe return.
