The World Athletics Federation has released the new rankings for the javelin throw.
Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem is at fourth place with 1370 points. Arshad Nadeem’s ranking did not improve due to non-participation in ranking events.
Arshad participated in only one competition this year, the Asian Athletics Championships, where he won the gold medal with a throw of 86.40 meters.
India’s Neeraj Chopra is at first place with 1445 points, while Grenada’s Anderson Peters and Germany’s Julian Weber are at second and third places respectively.
Arshad Nadeem will participate in two to three more international competitions before the World Championships in September, which is expected to further improve his ranking.
It may be recalled that Arshad Nadeem brought glory to Pakistan by winning the gold medal with a historic throw of 92.97 meters at the Paris Olympics last year.
