Uzbek Parliamentary Delegation Visits Cultural Landmarks in Islamabad

Islamabad: A Parliamentary delegation from the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Speaker Mr. Nuriddin Ismoilov, visited prominent cultural and historical sites in Islamabad including the Lok Virsa Museum, Faisal Mosque, and Pakistan Monument.

The delegation was given an overview of Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, spiritual identity, and architectural magnificence. The visits provided the Uzbek lawmakers with a glimpse of the country’s diverse traditions, historic treasures, and national pride.

Coinciding with World Tourism Day, the cultural engagements highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening people-to-people linkages and promoting cultural tourism between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Such exchanges not only project Pakistan’s cultural and spiritual heritage but also serve to deepen bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.

The visit of the Uzbek Parliamentary delegation is taking place on the special invitation of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, reflecting his commitment to enhancing parliamentary diplomacy and fostering stronger ties with Uzbekistan.
