ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the notification for the appointment of the Chief of Defense Forces will be issued soon, speculation should not be made.

According to, the Defense Minister has said in his statement that unnecessary speculation is being made regarding the notification for the appointment of the Chief of Defense Forces, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is returning home soon.

The Defense Minister said that the process related to the notification of the CDF has been started, the notification will be issued at the appointed time.

It should be noted that the post of Chief of Defense Forces has been created after the 27th Amendment and with the approval of the Parliament, Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has been given this post, however, the notification has not been issued yet.
