Instagram, a photo-sharing app, was deactivated internationally and in Pakistan on Friday morning.Outages were recorded in Pakistan as well as other parts of the world. However, the platform resumed its operations after being idle for about two hours.
Users of the Instagram app reported 73 percent of outages, followed by problems logging in for 23 percent of users and problems uploading videos and photos for 4 percent of users, according to data gathered by the tracker.
Instagram users who were unable to use the app rushed to the microblogging site Twitter to share amusing memes about the outage.
