Senior and central leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed happiness over the acquittal in the May 9 case and testified to the innocence of his colleagues.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi reacted to the court’s acquittal in the May 9 Sherpao Bridge arson, vandalism and inflammatory speech case by the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court.

In his statement, he said that he was ready to swear on the Holy Quran in the court that he had no role in the May 9 incidents. He said that he was happy to hear the news of his release in the court’s decision.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that his heart is saddened to hear about the sentences of his other colleagues because like me, they are also innocent.
