PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker administration has ordered summer vacation for all public and private institutions in the summer zone.
After severe rains wreaked havoc in the country’s northwest, the KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department announced a new schedule for the summer vacation in schools.
The summer zone (plain regions) will stay closed from June 12 to August 31 for all public and private educational institutions, according to the notice. On September 1st, classes will resume. All schools must abide by the revised vacation timetable, per SED’s directive.
As the death toll from a severe rain and windstorm reached 27, the authorities announced a new summer vacation plan. thunderstorms, ferocious winds, and heavy rainfall caused damage in approximately 150 people’s areas.
