Karachi: A policeman was martyred in Rohri by unknown assailants, the incident has created an atmosphere of depression and concern in the entire area.

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar took strict notice of this tragic incident of firing and sought an immediate report from the SSP Sukkur.

The Sindh Home Minister termed the incident condemnable and said that terrorism and attacks on the police are intolerable, no compromise will be made on such incidents.

He expressed his heartfelt sympathy and sorrow to the family of the martyred officer and said that the sacrifice of the martyr will not go in vain.

Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar directed the police to take urgent steps to arrest the accused and made it clear that the elements involved in the Rohri incident will be brought to justice at all costs.

He said that the Sindh government is taking strong steps to protect the lives and property of the people and such attackers will not be given any concessions.

The Interior Minister directed that the suspects involved in the shooting be identified immediately, raids and investigations should be expanded, while ensuring all possible support for the family of the martyred official.
