Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders were not allowed to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, after which Chairman Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan and six other leaders left without meeting him.
Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan, General Secretary Salman Akram Raja, Ali Muhammad Khan, Sardar Latif Khosa, Rauf Hassan and Firdous Shamim Naqvi reached the jail to meet PTI founder Imran Khan in Adiala Jail and sought permission from the jail administration.
The jail administration took the stand that there is no meeting day and no orders have been received regarding a special meeting.
Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan said that there is also a procedure for meetings, today was not a normal meeting day but we were trying to arrange a meeting, if the meeting had taken place, we would have discussed various things.
He said that the November 24 protest was not postponed, the protest was not postponed, but there were many things for which we had come to meet.
