Islamabad: Prices of petroleum products are likely to increase.
According to sources, the prices of petroleum products are likely to increase by Rs 4.79 per liter from September 16. In this regard, the industry has completed initial working, under which petrol is likely to become expensive by Rs 1.54, diesel by Rs 4.79, kerosene by Rs 3.6 and light diesel by Rs 3.68 per liter.
Sources say that OGRA will send the final working to the Petroleum Division on September 15, after which the Petroleum Division and the Ministry of Finance will send the working to the Prime Minister according to levy and other taxes.
The Prime Minister will give the final approval for the increase in prices of petroleum products.
