ISLAMABAD: Sardar Khan Niazi, Chief Editor of the Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman of Roze News TV, talked in Sachi Baat. In the program, SK Niazi discussed about the SC proceeding on Inquiry commission, IMF agreement and coming budget. Chairman of Roze News TV said that “Perception is more important than reality.” He said now country is moving back to normal routine after chaos of nearly one month. Senior Journalist SK Niazi raised concerns that “Trend of denying courts orders is unacceptable. Despite the court orders of 14th May, elections were still delayed.
Replying to a question, Justice® Shaiq Usmani said that “CJ should not have been involved in this matter.” Mr. Shaiq also said that No judge can be withdrawn from a case on someone’s demand. Justice® raised concerns that SC gave its verdicts but it looks like no implementation will be taken on those verdicts. Every judge has own point of view so differences are everywhere, he added. He said that audio leaks are now happening everywhere in the world. He also raised a critical point that “If judges become rivals than it’s an alarming situation.”
Answering to a question, Economy Expert, Malik Bostan was hopeful and said that “Hopefully this budget will change the people fortune.” Soon the agreement between Pakistan and IMF will be done, he added. He said govt is trying its best to successfully finalize the agreement with IMF as soon as possible. Malik Bostan revealed a good news that CPEC phase-1 has been completed before due date.
Economist suggested that if Pakistan wants to prosper and become independent, than govt must train and prepare youth for that goal.
Responding to the question, Renowned Economist, Mirza Ikhtiyar talked about the IMF agreement and govt tries in detail. He claimed that “IMF agreement is not happening soon. PM gave hint to sign the agreement in the last days of his tenure.
IMF wants to decrease the development budgets funds.” He suggested that first govt should get its budget targets than contact IMF. He said it’s a good sign to trade with local currencies. He also praised that with border markets we can save dollars.
Mirza Ikhtiyar also said that” our country is badly affected by the burden of debts. Pakistan has to pay back debt of 25 billion dollars every year, which means we have to pay back 75 billion dollars in three years.” He suggested the govt to increase export and reduce imports which will bring economic stability as well as political.
He said IMF will resume talks when the budget will pass. Pakistan needs to increase its tax net. If the structuring of Pakistan is done than Pakistan can be saved from the default, he claimed. He also requested to bring new entries n the tax net.
