Peace Message Committee assures full support to army in promoting national narrative

The National Peace Communication Committee (NPAC) established to formulate a national narrative met with the DG ISPR at GHQ and assured full cooperation for the promotion of the national narrative.

In the meeting, unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces and a common resolve against anti-state narratives were expressed. The NPAC condemned the Fitna al-Khawarij and the Afghan Taliban and said that there is no justification for terrorism.

The DG ISPR said that in the meeting, a comprehensive discussion was held on internal security in the context of the Fitna al-Khawarij/TTP and TTA and the common position was further strengthened. Affirming the principled position on Kashmir and Gaza, supporting the oppressed is Pakistan’s moral responsibility.

The NPAC announced to spread the message of unity of the nation, social harmony and constitutional equality from the pulpit and the altar nationwide and agreed to adopt a zero tolerance policy against hate speech, sectarianism and Takfiri narratives.

DG ISPR said that public awareness and truthful narrative are decisive weapons to counter the enemy’s psychological warfare. It is proposed to increase awareness and guidance sessions in mosques, madrassas and universities to promote the state narrative.

Describing the meeting as exceptionally useful, it was hoped that progress would be made on new avenues of trust and practical cooperation.
