ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan will continue its journey of progress and prosperity, raising its head proudly among the nations of the world.

On the occasion of Constitution Day (April 10), Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said in his message that today we are celebrating the day of approval of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with national spirit and on this occasion we pay special tribute to the architects of the Constitution.

The Prime Minister said that the Constitution is a sacred contract between the people and the state which determines the legal, moral and administrative rights and duties of both.

He said that the unanimous Constitution of Pakistan approved on April 10, 1973 laid the foundation for the parliamentary democratic system of government in the country and the strong institutional structure of the State of Pakistan.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that the 1973 Constitution is the protector of the fundamental human rights of all citizens of Pakistan and this constitutional document not only describes these rights in detail but also ensures the legal framework for their provision.

The Prime Minister said that the 1973 Constitution is a shining symbol of the federation of Pakistan and national unity, where all state units are fulfilling their constitutional role for national unity and overall economic development and prosperity in a harmonious manner and are committed to a bright future.

He said that this enviable agreement is a reflection of the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty on the country of God.

He further said that we are prostrate before Him for the honor and dignity that Allah Almighty has bestowed on Pakistan. Pakistan will continue its journey of progress and prosperity, raising its head proudly among the nations of the world, Insha Allah.
